翻开书，看了没几页，就发现了一个很可疑的错误，到亚马逊网站看了下原文节选，印证了自己的猜测。

如今的翻译小说啊，犯的差错一个比一个低级。

只要仔细读一下，就会发现，作者第一句写摩尔讨厌乳胶手套的味道，因为它会让他联想起警察工作的种种不快。然后顺理成章的，因为推论得知乳胶手套的气味会让他联想起凶案现场。可是看这本书的译文呢？竟然是“他能把凶案和这股伴有血液与体液的混合气味联系在一起"，这个，还用联想么？真是***。

真是服了现在的出版社，编辑，译者。rubbery 竟然会译成“凶案”，在下百思不得其解。就算是和rubbery很相像的robbery 它的意思是“抢劫”啊，也不是“凶案”，

就算我将rubbery用robbery替代，再看一下那句句子：

he’d come to associate that robbery scent with the inevitable accompaniment of blood and body fluids.

难道“抢劫”还会有味道吗？（robbery scent）
