Haruki Murakami is one of my favourite authors so picking up this autobiographical work at the bookshop was a no-brainer.
In his usual clear-cut candid manner he writes about what seems to be the second-biggest 'occupation' in his life - that of being a marathon runner.
As a writer I found his writing/running ***ogy highly motivational and as a groupie I loved reading about his life.
Despite being a fairly short book there was some repetition that seemed too obvious to have escaped the editor's eye which led me to think it was a stylistic choice but then again I don't quite get why they occurred - hence my almost-perfect rating but all in all a very enjoyable read and quite unlike anything else I've read before.
