The Commanding Heights《better the TV series》

The PBS tv series based on this book get me hooked to this book. Though the author seems to be a bit biased toward to the free market end it is still one of the best economics books that I read in my bed. (in the light of the current crisis the wave of deregulation seems to be overly done. However unlike the prediction in the book and series the greatest crisis to the world economy didn't came from instability from a third world contagion but rather the great American behemoth itself.
