Randolph Henry Ash是十九世纪著名的诗人。Christabel LaMotte是同时代的女诗人，有着女权主义倾向，深居简出，终身未嫁。没有任何记载显示Ash 和LaMotte有过任何联系。许多年以后，年轻的学者Roland 无意间发现Ash一封信的草稿，由此许多线索逐渐展开：藏在洋娃娃小床下的一叠书信；Ash妻子的日记；Ash 怀表中的一缕头发；一张家族照片；一封从未拆封过的信......当这个封存百年的谜底被揭开时，不由得让人联想：或许每个人在生命中都藏有一个秘密，有时这个秘密才是一生中真正的拥有……

Randolph Henry Ash is a famous poet in 19th century. Christabel LaMotte is a reclusive poetess in the same period. No evidence shows that Ash and LaMotte had any contact. Many years later a young researcher Roland found a mysterious draft letter from one of Ash’s books. Thereafter many clues appeared: correspondence hidden in doll’s bed; diary of Ash’s wife; plaited chain of hair in Ash’s watch; a sealed envelope…… One cannot help wondering that maybe everybody has a secret in his life. Sometimes this secret may have been the true possession of the life!
