"Listening to Spoken English" is a pretty theoretical introduction to different aspects of spoken English and the task of teaching listening to it. The book is reasonably brief with about 178 pages but it is organised fairly well and logically.
The book has chapters on segments syllables and words intonation rhythm paralinguistics and more. It is reasonably heavy on the theory with only one chapter explicitly focused on the task of teaching itself. Additionally Brown uses some fairly specialised terminology in some places which would mean being familiar with it all.
This is a pretty good book but I would question parting with over $70 for it (the price at time of writing). Personally I would borrow it first and decide if it is useful to you. For most working teachers I doubt this would have much use for in the classroom.
