The book describes the spiritual life of a Christian soul in the world of men.Among the dangers its hero Christian encounters in his journey to the Celestial City are the Giant Pope and the Giant Pagan gigantic characters representing what the Evangelical Protestant .Bunyan considered the gigantic evils of competing religions. The book was so successful and popular that for many years it was a staple in Christian homesespecially on the American frontier.And it has been translated into at least 108 languages and dialects.
